The Tanger Outlet Mall Children’s Museum is perfect for children ages 2-6 who are ready for their first museum experience. Here, your kids can enjoy several interactive exhibits and hands-on play areas.

One of the museum’s featured exhibits is a giant blue whale skeleton that children can climb on, in addition to a simulated coral reef exhibit where kids can touch live animals like sea urchins. There are also educational activities like building with blocks, interactive games, reading stations, and more for kids to do at their own pace!
Myrtle Beach Museum For The Bigs
If you’re looking for a museum that has something for the older members of your family, then try the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Museum. This museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and its role in World War II and the Cold War.
You’ll be able to see aircraft used in those eras, learn about some of our country’s heroes, and take a tour of the base.
For a more hands-on experience, head over to the Aiken- Rhett House Museum. This museum is dedicated to telling the story of North Carolina’s history through an interactive experience at this historic house. Located in a beautiful historic building, the Myrtle Beach Art Museum is as much about the art as it is about the experience. There are two floors of rotating exhibits that showcase local and national artists, including internationally renowned ones.
You can also see permanent collections of work from some of America’s most influential artists. The museum has a free admission policy for children under 18 and offers a kids’ discovery area where your little one can make their artwork to take home with them.
